Companion Planting with Herbs.

For as long as people have been growing herbs, they have studied which plants grow well together and which ones are better planted in different parts of the garden. Companion planting can aid the growth of your garden as some plants will attract beneficial insects, repel harmful insects, provide nutrients to other plants or can provide shade or structural support to their companions.

We researched the herbs discussed on Our Herb Garden along with several other popular herbs and using a variety of sources have compiled separate pages of information on companion planting to help you decide how best to layout your herb garden.

As is typical when using multiple reference sources, we encountered several plants that were listed as both beneficial and harmful companions. For those herbs, we listed the information we obtained and provided any further explanations for the disagreement that we could find.
